Let's put a stop to waste.

We've partnered with an initiative which aims to raise awareness on sustainable resources and sustainable waste management: European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR).

During this week, the whole of Europe aims to give a special dimension to the event through a large number of initiatives, strengthening each action and raising citizen awareness.

This initiative is for everyone! Entities; Public Administration; Companies/Industries; Non-Governmental Organizations; Educational Establishments (Schools and Universities) and Citizens, groups or individuals, are all invited to take part in the European Week for Waste Reduction.

What are the main goals of the EWWR?

  • to increase awareness about reducing waste, reusing products, and recycling strategies for materials in the European Union and in Member States;
  • to highlight the work carried out by those who participate in the EWWR;
  • to mobilize and encourage European citizens to develop initiatives around the key themes of the Week;
  • to enhance the training of the EWWR stakeholders, providing specific communication and training tools.

In 2021, the European Week for Waste Prevention (EWWR) will take place between the 20th and the 28th of November.

Be sure to participate!

In 2020, we took pride in the 152 actions registered in our Associated Municipalities! This year, the European Week for Waste Reduction will take place from 20th to 28th November. Registration will open towards the end of summer 2020. Keep an eye out for it!

If you didn't register in 2020, get involved in 2021!
