LIPOR begins new waste characterization in Trinidad & Tobago

LIPOR starts today the characterization of the waste produced during the Carnival in Trinidad & Tobago. This work, developed under a contract that results from a Consortium between KWL - Quality Management Systems (CH Group) and LIPOR and was signed with the Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government, represented by Solid Waste Management Company Limited (SWMCOL), foresees the development of consulting services for the task "Consulting Services for a Waste Characterization Study in Trinidad & Tobago".

The 12-month project provides for waste characterisation, training, stakeholder consultation, a Centroid study and the implementation of a sustainable waste management programme and the possible prevention of waste production.

It should be recalled that in the last few years, LIPOR has adopted an internationalisation strategy based on the valorisation of its Know How of 40 years of experience. A strategy that has allowed it to win international contracts and consolidate its position with the main multilateral institutions.
