More Recycling

Today 222,930 citizens from the eight municipalities of LIPOR are served with Residential Door-to-Door Selective Collection and Proximity with Restricted Access

In 2022, LIPOR received at its Sorting Plant and Platforms 14,572 tonnes of materials for recycling (plastic and metal, paper and cardboard, glass) and at the Composting Plant, 4,339 tonnes of bio-waste (food waste and green waste), from selective door-to-door residential and proximity collection with restricted access.

These figures represent a 6% growth compared to 2021. Sending 18,911 tonnes for recovery made it possible to avoid the emission of 11,934 tonnes of CO2eq, which represents the correspondent of 4,500 cars circulation in one year.

These results are the outcome of the strong investment and commitment that LIPOR and the associated Municipalities have developed and will continue to develop in the implementation and expansion of these Selective Collection Systems, with the aim of maximizing and increasing the quantity and quality of materials to be sent for recycling, making it + comfortable, + close, + functional and + sustainable, where recycling is ever easier.
