Visit to LIPOR by HWR Berlin School highlights sustainability and innovation in waste management
On March 10th, LIPOR received a special visit from eight students from the HWR Berlin Business School, as part of the PBS International MBA course, Sustainability & Value Creation.
This visit is the result of the collaboration and good relations between LIPOR and PBS - Porto Business School (PBS).
The motto was the presentation of LIPOR's Sustainability Business Strategy, as a successful business case for the Portuguese waste sector.
The International MBA students, whose profiles reflect a diversity of international experiences, had the opportunity to get to know LIPOR's organic recovery operations up close, through a technical visit to the Organic Recovery Plant, from the reception of bio-waste to the production of Nutrimais compost (composting process), highlighting the organization's commitment to the circular economy and carbon neutrality by 2030.
The visit was also attended by Dr. Fernando Leite, Managing Director of LIPOR, and Diana Nicolau, Manager of LIPOR's Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility Unit.
This initiative reinforces the collaboration between European institutions in promoting sustainability and innovation, providing students with practical and enriching experience in the field of waste management and the circular economy.
