LIPOR’s Textile Sorting Pilot Unit and its circular economy model were the focus of a visit that marked the closing of a business mission dedicated to sustainable solutions.
On March 25, 2026, LIPOR welcomed a delegation of German business representatives as part of the German Business Mission for Innovative Textile Recycling Solutions in Portugal, organized by the Portuguese German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCILA).
The visit, which marked the conclusion of three days of activities focused on sustainability and the circular economy, highlighted the work developed by LIPOR throughout its history, with particular emphasis on a detailed presentation of the Textile Sorting Pilot Unit (UPTT), the first infrastructure of its kind established in Portugal.
The delegation was composed of business leaders and representatives of German companies specialized in advanced recycling technologies, intelligent sorting, process automation, and circular economy solutions.
